Apart from his commitment to HG Contemporary Gallery, Philippe Guggenheim is equally devoted to both local and international charitable organizations.

Philippe Hoerle-Guggenheim is Chairman of the Board to Elevate New York, a mentoring and youth development program accredited by the NYC Department of Education. Elevate New York is a relational solution to the educational problem that helps build effective long-term, life-changing relationships with urban youth. The program has full time teachers and mentors who teach daily character qualities and life skill classes for elective credits. Elevate New York also offers after school mentoring programs, led by teachers/mentors and augmented by business professionals in the city. Additionally, Elevate’s adventure component gets students out of the the classroom to experience outdoor sports that produce resiliency and team building. Lastly, a post secondary component helps them prepare for college and other career paths.

For several years now, Philippe Hoerle-Guggenheim has taken part in “Elephants Forever”, a contemporary art sale that supports the charities Elephant Family and Space For Giants. Both charities work to combat threats to Asian elephants and protecting their habitats. Over the course of his involvement, Philippe Hoerle-Guggenheim has donated several works of art to the “Elephants Forever” sale. Some of which have included pieces from Abdullah Qandeel, Ronnie Wood, Stuart McAlpine Miller, and Carl McCrow.

Philippe also volunteers his time to The Bowery Mission, a rescue mission for New York’s homeless. As a member of the host committee, Philippe Hoerle-Guggenheim helps plan charitable events for the organization. Over the years, Philippe has been involved with The Bowery Mission’s Celebration of Hope, a silent and live auction that supports the life-changing programs for men and women of the shelter.

Apart from these organizations, Philippe supports both Henry Street Settlement and Hillsong New York. Philippe Hoerle-Guggenheim applauds the organizations that he supports and is most passionate about helping in future endeavors.
